Top 10 Best Sellers of 2015

Hi everyone!

To wrap up the year, I thought we’d take a look back and share with you what our 2015 best selling products were! Here we go!

Tucson by Elizabeth’s Studio

byElizbabeth's studio (2)

These beautiful fabrics from Elizabeth’s Studio were such in demand this year that we could hardly keep a few yards in stock before getting a new order! Both the original and new patterns from this collection really reflected the trend for Southwestern motifs! We’re pretty confident that this collection will continue to sell very well as organic fabrics and native patterns keeps showing up in magazines! We’ve seen such beautiful projects made with this collection, from accessories to clothing and quilts!

Minions by Quilting Treasures/VIP

4

If 2014 was the year of “Frozen”, then 2015 was the year of the Minions! With the release of the very first Minions movie in July 2015, people everywhere were going completely crazy for Minions! Look forward to new Minion patterns in 2016 to celebrate the release of Despicable Me 3 in the Summer of 2017.

Holiday Elegance by Quilting Treasures

3

This group was by far our best selling Christmas fabric! The classic colours and elegant patterns make this Studiocollection extremely versatile! The gorgeous block panel is perfect for home decor (like cushions!) and quilts. Studioe fabrics are always some of our favorite during the Holidays, and it looks like they will also deliver next year with their newly released collection Joy Love Peace!

Western Album I & II by Blank Quilting

4

Designed by Western Denim & Dirt, these western-inspired fabrics were a hit! The two different colour palettes really make this collection spectacular! If you like their designs, keep an eye out for their newest collection shipping in June 2016, “Spirit of the Buffalo“.

Landscape Medley by Elizabeth’s Studio

5

This collection got lots of internet buzz this year! Part of the Row by Row Experience 2015, the water-inspired patterns from this collection were seen on so many quilt rows, we lost count!

Cinnamon Toast by Studioe

6

This little group (only 5 patterns in two colourways!) was an unexpected success! But really, we’re not that surprised that people loved the richness of these black and brown tones, and simple patterns! These are really great to frame blocks and make other colour details pop! If you’re looking for similar fabrics in lighter colours, check out their new Cream & Sugar V group!

Fire Rescue by Blank Quilting

7

Blank Quilting created a simple red, white and black group with spectacular detailing! Between donation quilts for fire rescue teams to boy’s decor, this was a big seller and the first collection sold out fast. The follow-up to this collection, Fire Rescue II, will be shipping February 2016.

Red is the New Neutral by Marcus Fabrics

8

Generally speaking, red was a really popular colour this year! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Marsala, a wine-red, was named colour of the year 2015! This group really captured both trendy and classic quilters and sewing-enthusiasts!

Color it Blue by Marcus Fabrics

9

The popularity of this collection has a lot to do with it being part of a super cute BOM program by Vicki Bellino called “Bluebirds” and it’s new Strip-It! It looks fantastic for both clothes-making and quilting!

Licensed Cottons by Springs Creative

byElizbabeth's studio (3)

Last but not the least are Springs Creative’s extremely popular licensed cottons! Some customer favourites include Frozen, Disney and Marvel. Oh, and did you hear? We can now distribute the Nickelodeon fabrics in Canada!

Well I hope you enjoyed our look back at 2015! I can’t believe the year is almost over…

Happy New Year!
