Spring 2017 Quilt Market Recap

Spring 2017 Quilt Market Recap

World of Susybee

We saw so many lovely projects at the World of Susybee booth! Most of them featured their new Flutter the Butterfly collection, which was used in so many creative ways! We loved the big beautiful butterfly and the cutest little heart apron dress featured there.

Riley Blake/Penny Rose

Every year we look forward to seeing what the creative team at Riley Blake/Penny Rose will put together for their booth. We weren’t let down again this year, it was really a party over there! Between their super bright and colourful display of their new Just Add Sugar collection, those gorgeous quilts made with uber-trendy Rose Gold line, and the quirky Safari Party quilt with a huge zebra on it… we didn’t know where to look! They also displayed their brand new licenses Gumby, Tootsie Roll and Kewpie, which we’re so excited about.

The Riley Blake design team Simple Simon & Co even won the award for best single booth! We definitely agreed with this :)

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our designers @simplesimonandco for winning the Best Single Booth Award at #QuiltMarket!

New! The Textile Pantry We were also very happy to meet with our newest manufacturer, The Textile Pantry! Their two main fabric lines, Under the Australian Sun and Melba are created by designer Leesa Chandler and feature gorgeous florals. What makes this new supplier’s offering so unique is that their lines are also accompanied by a wide range of patterns, kits and merchandise that we’re sure your customers will love! New! Baum Textiles Another new supplier we met with at Market this year is the team at Baum Textiles Mills. They offer a great selection of amazing fleece prints! We’re convinced many of our customers will love their native fleeces, as many of you have been requesting more selection in this category. Check out some of these awesome prints or look through their online catalogue for all their available prints. Marcus Fabrics At the Marcus Fabrics booth, we got to see many new and exciting projects and also more bright and modern fabrics than usual for this distinctively vintage brand. We absolutely loved the new modern twist on Christmas with the Green and Red collection by Victoria Finlay Wolfe! Another hit was their display of their newly licensed Pete the Cat fabric. We also got a sneak peek of the new hooked rug projects by Nancy Rink using Marcus Fabrics wools… we can’t wait to see more as we think this is a great added offering opportunity for quilt shops!
